IRIG Time Code Reader Generator, Model 6146G/PCI, is a PCI version of the 6146G below.  It is, twelve channel GPS synchronized IRIG B time code generator designed to provide a precise IRIG B serial time code output as well as a 1PPS time pulse. The unit automatically acquires all in-view satellites upon power up and locks an internal IRIG B time code generator to the GPS time reference corrected to UTC. If the GPS lock is lost the 6146G.PCI will automatically switch to an internal clock and continue generating the output IRIG B signal. No discernible change in the IRIG B output will occur due to this transition. 

When no GPS signal is available, the 6146G may be synchronized to an external IRIG B signal. It may also be used to generate an IRIG B signal independent of external inputs with the time-of-year set by the host PC.

The 6146G/PCI provides for time tagging events with either the GPS synchronized time or the IRIG time generated by the board. It has seven external trigger inputs and one internal 1Hz trigger and will output time messages to the host PC upon receipt of a trigger.

The unit resides on a single 32 bit, 5 volt PCI port. 

A windows compatible driver is included which may be used to synchronize the PC clock with UTC time or IRIG B.

If all that is required is an IRIG synchronized unit there is the Model 6146/PCI. It is identical to the Model 6146G/PCI except it does not have a GPS receiver.

GPS/IRIG Referenced PC Clock Synchonizer, 
Model 6146GS/PCI

is an PCI bus compatible, clock synchronizer that provides synchronization of the host computers clock to either an applied IRIG B time code or GPS via a 12 channel GPS receiver.  The GPS time is corrected to UTC.  The unit automatically acquires all in-view satellites upon power up and locks an internal clock to the GPS time reference.  When no GPS signal is available, the 6146GS/PCI may be synchronized to an external IRIG B signal.  As desired the user may set the board to convert Reference time to local time.  Also included is the event time tagging function as in the 6146G/PCI described above.  This unit is an economical solution for those who want a means of synchronizing their computer clock and don't require an IRIG generator.

An active GPS antenna with a 19ft cable is included. 

Also included is a Windows configuration utility and driver.


A IRIG only PC clock synchronizer, Model 6146S/PCI is also available. It is identical to the Model 6146GS/PCI except it does not have a GPS receiver
