It is ITS policy to support all products for as long as they are in use. In some cases, when components are no longer available and there is a continued requirement for the product, a new design that is identical in form, fit and function is developed. In other cases changes are made to modules internal to the product using new components. It is recognized that in some cases it is required that an old product, which may not be recommended for new applications, be available to customers who want the identical model for use in existing installations. The products shown on this page are those that can still be supplied to meet such a requirement. |

Video Insertion Generator, Model 6028, A programmable
Video Insertion Generator designed to b
The 6028 features non-volatile memory and can store up to four display set ups, any one of which can be selected to be active at turn on. You can talk and listen to the 6028 through a variety of methods including: Detachable Keyboard, IEEE port (GPIB), RS 232 port, Serial IRIG B input, Sixteen parallel BCD or HEX ports (up to 96 optional), Sixteen discrete alarm inputs and Front panel LCD display (displays IRIG time or crosshair coordinates, switch selectable). All ports are active simultaneously. The 6028 has three modes of video insertion: Variable, A front panel control varies the inserted video from
full black to full white. The 6028 is housed in a 19 inch rack mountable cabinet, 3 1/2 inches high and 15 inches deep. It weighs less than 10 lbs. and draws less than 10 watts with all options installed. Note: This unit does not have a direct replacement. |

Annotation, positioning of the IRIG time message and positioning of the alarm messages can be done via the keyboard and/or the RS-232 port. The IRIG time may also be transmitted over the RS-232 port upon command from the keyboard or the RS-232 port. Twenty discrete control inputs, two per channel, are used to enable the alarm messages with either a TTL level or a contact closure. A loss of IRIG B input causes the 6055B to automatically switch to an internal real time clock. If it is desired to operate the unit without IRIG input this clock may be set by either the keyboard or via the RS-232 port. The 6055B-2 has two modes of insertion, constant contrast and white with black border, independently selectable for each channel via front panel switches. The overlay intensity is controlled by front panel controls. The Data Encode function encodes the time and selected text, independently into each video channel using the "Left Edge" encode method. Data may be read by the ITS models 6042 or 6142A Decoders or other decoders conforming to the RCC Document 452-86 Section 7, specification. The unit includes an IRIG synchronized countdown clock. The countdown clock is set by the keyboard or RS-232 inputs. Enable (start) and load (preset) are controlled by TTL or contact closure inputs. The 6055B-2 is housed in a 19 inch wide, 3 1/2
inch high, 15 inch deep, ruggedized rack mountable sheet metal
cabinet and is powered by 100 to 240 VAC, 50 to 400 Hz line. Note: This unit has been replaced by

The unit displays the time or alternatively the counter state as selected either locally or remotely. Additionally a three character alphanumeric message, which may be entered via serial or parallel port, is displayed. Once A/N message is input it remains in non-volatile memory. Two A/N messages may be stored in the 6075, one is displayed in the time mode and the other in the counter mode. When set to the counter mode the 6075 displays the state of an internal counter. The counter is always active regardless of the display mode selected. The counter increments or decrements a preset time display as commanded by the operator. The count reference is derived from the applied serial time signal or the internal clock in the absence of the time signal. When the 6075 is running on the internal clock, the displayed colons flash at a one hertz rate to alert the operator. The unit is housed in a 29" wide, 5" high and 6" deep aluminum enclosure and is powered by 115 VAC 50/60 Hz. Note: This unit does not have a direct replacement. |

The elimination of the A/N display reduces the size of the 6075A to a 21.5 inch wide, 5 inch high and 6 inch deep aluminum enclosure. It is powered by 115 VAC 50/60 Hz. Note: This unit has been replaced by the Model 6075B |
